Glazed Baked Donuts

These were so quick and easy - easier than making cookies or muffins - which means these could be dangerous!

The only complaint I had about these was that the kids thought they would be frosted - not glazed - so I thickened the glazed with extra Icing Sugar to give the appearance of frosted.

Makes 14

3 Tbsp Butter, melted
1 Egg
1/3 cup Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1/3 cup Sugar
1 cup Flour

The Glaze:
1/2 cup Icing Sugar
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 - 2 Tbsp Milk (depends on desired consistency)

Optional: food coloring and sprinkles

1.  Mix the ingredients together in the order given.

2.  Fill a non-stick donut pan 3/4s full and bake at 350' for 12 minutes - until golden.  Let cool in the pan.

3.  While cooling, whisk the ingredients for the glaze together, and dip each donut into it.  Transfer to cooling racks to let the glaze drip.  (I lay plastic wrap under the racks for easy clean up)

Serve fresh (with coffee!!)
