I decided to just do all my groceries at Costco - partly because they had 5 or 6 things I needed and regularly buy from there on sale - and I really just wanted to do one visit and be done.
I waited in line to get in for about 25 minutes to get into Costco, but did not have to wait at the checkouts - so for a Saturday, I was impressed with quick things went and how well organized they were!
The Duracell Batteries were on sale - AA 48s for $21.99. (Regular $27.99) It's a bargain! The PC batteries are $14 for 24s - and they are not half a good as Duracell (trust me - we've tried it!) We have a lot of wireless video games and video game controllers that seem to be in near constant use right now, so we always stock up. I did not include it in my cost breakdown as it isn't Food - and not part of the OPH Food Insecurities budget estimate. Also, in the video, the Flour was still in the car - so I completely missed it.
So, I am not sure how much I actually saved - if anything - until I get through this post and calculate it at the end. As always, the prices at Costco are compared to the regular price of my regular grocery store (Real Canadian Superstore). Here it goes:
